M. Daniel Walsh

Daniel was born in the California’s Central Valley and lived in an assortment of small towns before finally settling in Fresno with his sister Jill and parents Bud and Kay. Rambunctious and spirited, at an early age he showed a love for martial arts and technology earning many awards and certifications in both.

Travel, Study, and Work for Daniel began by age 11 when he had opened his first business, spent summers in Texas (largely at UT libraries), and already earned Gubernatorial Awards in math and science. In his teen years he moved to Washington State, was admitted as a high school senior to Gonzaga University, and enrolled in an Apple Computers Prototype Laboratory for software development.

During his 7 years at University, his studies expanded to Language Science and his dedication to martial arts deepened earning him admission into the Sil Lum Tradition where his training began to include meditation, yoga, and philosophy.

At age 22, an unfortunate incident left him “one disc short of a full spine,” unable to work, and collecting disability for over a year. His recovery was slow, taking him around the world seeking masters of the healing arts, but it wasn’t until the Master Shaman Whitecloud entered his life that everything changed.

Under Whitecloud’s nurturing guidance his recovery was swift and his professional climb meteoric. Dubbed, “The Windwalker”, he moved to San Francisco on foot, with nothing more than a backpack and a change of clothes, he rapidly became the Director of Research and Technology for JTG, one of the nation’s largest Public Education Advocacy’s and was given directorship over 18 multi-million dollar projects totaling over $1.2 billion dollars in funds raised for public schools.

Exhausted, he decided he wanted to return to nature, and found himself at Harbin Hot Springs where he proposed, coordinated, and helped build what has become one of America’s Leading Yoga Centers hosting over 50,000 people per year. It is here, amidst the beautiful backdrop of the Sierra Nevada’s that his life changed forever, he met Molly and proposed immediately (literally, he proposed to her the first time they spoke).

When asked, “How did you know so quickly that she was the person you wanted to spend your life with?” Daniel simply said, “Have you met her?”

Two year’s later, they left their Harbin home to start a new life in Northern Michigan beside Molly’s amazing family. Now with the help of both their families, they’ve built a beautiful home, two thriving businesses, the life of their dreams, and Daniel has completed and released his first book, (click here for his book) revealing the keys the teacher’s gave him to make his journey possible…
